Even as child I was aware that my trousers were always a little too tight. Poetry came easily and oh so naturally, toooooo me. It was at the age of 15 that I discovered a forum in which I could truely express my inner Deity. Yes the forum of Rock. I dallied with several abstract and interestingly played styles and many learned from me along the way as I honed my, already considerable, skills. However, it was not until 1986, when I met an equally creative and beautiful group of individuals, that I finally had the chance to let the world and (mainly) the Ipswich and Coastal Suffolk area hear me scream my song 'I am the music now watch me dance my voice'.
That creative band of members was now legendary Choy Choi. Years have passed and the legend has malted it's metaphorical spots many times over. The road on which we have travelled is almost literally strewn with musician roadkill. To say that we are the same band now would be a vast understatement as we have a different line-up. But in essence we... well some of us... actually just Gary and I, have continued to milk, with a strong manly fist, the large, throbbing, power ballad that is our dream..... Although sometimes I think Gary's not particularly into it. ..... And to be quite frank my patience is being stretched a little.
I will say though, with my hand on my bulging crotch, that nobody could question the commitment and sheer stupid bloodymindedness of the remaining collective members of this erstwhile group of plastercast wannabees (girl drummers excepted).
So come now children, and you too can be a part of this continuing psychedelic opera that is my friend and family: Choy Choi. And I've never even commited incest!
